Pointer Sisters

Why see Pointer Sisters?

The Pointer Sisters Hit The Road

One of the most successful soul and disco groups of the 70s and 80s, the Pointer Sisters successfully parlayed their gospel upbringing into a long-lasting career spanning over four decades and a range of genres. They found immediate success with the release of their self-titled debut album in 1973 thanks to the smash hit, career-defining single Yes We Can, which paved the way for 13 US Top 20 hits, three Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Performing an array of untouchable hits including ubiquitous dance floor filler I'm So Excited, the 'sisters' (original member Ruth Pointer, her daughter Issa and granddaughter Sadako) are filled with the same excitement and energy that won over audiences at the start of the outfit's career. Their signature three-part harmonies, high energy choreography, and magnetic stage presence prove the group's legacy is in capable hands.

Energetic Fantastic Show

The eldest Pointer Sister, Ruth, is continuing the Pointer Sisters’ legacy performing with her daughter Issa and granddaughter Sadako. These ladies did not disappoint. The concert was energetic and had the audience on their feet with hits like “I’m So Excited”, “Neutron Dance” and “Jump. Ruth has one of the most unique female voices and still has the power she demonstrated in the 70’s and 80’s. Her strong vocals on Automatic and Neutron Dance were exceptionally great at this show. Sadako and Issa also have come into their own leading the vocals on “He’s So Shy”, “Slow Hand”, “Dare Me” and “Jump”. The talent in this family is undeniable and no question Anita and June’s spirits were alive in this performance. The band was also excellent. I highly recommend this concert especially for 80’s fans. It was party full of fun hits, energy, tight harmonies and live vocals, a rarity in today’s music world. ... Read more
